USS Lawrence 2009 Charleston, SC Reunion June 21st to 26th, 2009

One of America's top five most popular cities, Charleston is America's most beautifully preserved architectural and historic treasure, with a rich 300-year history. Described as a "living museum", the city boasts beautiful homes, tree lined cobblestone streets, and many formal gardens. The USS Lawrence 2009 Reunion will provide many opportunities to experience all this historic city has to offer. For those of you who decide to arrive early, don't miss the cruise and tour to Historic Fort Sumter. Reunion tours begin on Monday with the Historic Charleston City tour which will provide a woderful oppertunity to get a first hand look at this city, and the chance to browse some of the unique shops and boutiques. Wednesday, spend the morning at Patriots Point, the world's largest maritime and naval museum, followed by a cruise and tour to Historic Fort Sumter. The scheduled dinner cruise will provide a wonderfull oppertunity to spend some time with your friends and shipmates;and the ladies will certainlynot want to miss the tour to Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, one of South Carolina's premier Plantations. There will be many opportunities to spend time with your friends and family. This is going to be a great reunion in a great city. Don't miss it!

Hotel Information

The reunion officially runs from Sunda, June 21st through Friday, June 26th. You will be staying at the full service Sheraton Hotel North Charleston, which is located at 4770 Goer Drive, North Charleston, SC 29406. The hotel is convenientlly located close to many of the area's top attractions.

Reservation Information

The room rate is just $120.00 plus tax per night. The rate includes complimentary continental breakfast daily, served in your hospitality room. For those of you who choose to arrive early or stay late, the same room rate is available three days prior and three days after based on availability. Please make your hotel reservations NOW by calling the hotel directly at the following number 1-843-747-1900. Be sure to ask for the USS Lawrence Reunion rate. You may request specific room types when you call to make your reservations (handicap accessable room, etc.). The hotel check-in time is 3:00pm. Please, do not expect to get into your room before then. Make your reservations NOW, you may cancel your hotel up to 24-hours prior to arrival and not be charged. They will ask you for a deposit or credit card number to guarantee your room reservation. The hotel is holding rooms until they sell out or May 8th, 2009 which ever comes first. For those that book a room at the hotel, you will be place in a drawing for a room upgrade to the Concierge Level at the group rate. There will be 4 lucky winners.

Airport Transportation & Parking

If you are flying to the reunion, the Sheraton Hotel offers complimentary shuttle service from teh Charleston Airport (CHS). Upon arrival at the airport, call using the free courtesy phone in the Baggage Claim area. For those of you driving, the hotel offers plenty of free parking. Travel safely and we will
