San Diego Reunion June 19-23, 2013
Our 2013 Reunion will be held in San Diego, CA from June 19-23, 2013. Please use the "reunions" tab at the top of the page for more information on this reunion and past and future ones. This will be our second attempt to hold a reunion on the West Coast. Please remember that 75% or more of our shipmates live east of the Mississippi and in order for this reunion to be successful, we need to have a large number of you guys from the West Coast attend to make up for those regular attendees who will not fly west due to the high cost of travel. If this reunion is successful, we will schedule more reunions on the West Coast.
YOU MAY NOW BOOK YOUR 2013 SAN DIEGO REUNION EVENTS, MEALS, AND HOTEL BY CLICKING ON THE "reunions" TAB AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE. THE REUNION RESERVATION FORM IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PAGE.
Adams Class Naval Ship Museum
The USS Lawrence Association is a proud supporter of the Adams Class Veterans Associations (ACVA) and the Jacksonville Historic Naval Ship Associations (JHNSA) efforts to preserve our sister ship, the USS Charles F. Adams DDG-2. The Adams will serve as a floating memorial and museum in Jacksonville, FL in honor of those who served on all Adams Class DDG's, Navy Veterans, and Veterans in general. The ACVA & JHNSA need your help to make this dream come true. Click on one of the logos to the right to find out how you can donate by check, credit card, or become a volunteer in the ship's restoration.
USS Lawrence Association's Adams Class Naval Ship Museum Hull Plate Restoration Sponsorship
At the 2009 Charleston Reunion, your shipmates voted to fully support the Adams Class Museum Ship restoration efforts by sponsoring 3 Hull Plates in the ACVA's Hull Plate Restoration Fundraiser. The cost for two hull plates is $2500 and the third is $2000. We are asking you our shipmates to mail in a tax deducatble donation to the ACVA that will be applied to Plate # Starboard-4 and Plate # Port-4. Plate # Starboard-250 was also sponsored to honor our DD-250 members past and present. DDG-4 is going to have a large presense in the museum due to the larger amount of equipment obtained from her before dismantling. The most out of all 23 Adams Class DDG's. Help preserve DDG-4's history by making a donation today. Click on the link below for the donation form.
